Problems relicensing/reinstalling Avast

I've had Avast running for a few years now but this week I had to erase the drive and completely reinstall everything from a time machine backup. Unfortunately, before I did that, the name of the Mac got altered and it's confused a lot of my software, eg Avast. I've tried to renew the license but so far no luck. The instructions don't match the actual software (V 8.0). I've changed the device name here to match the new name of my mac but so far no joy. Any ideas?

And when I try to connect with Avast from the app, I get errors, 'problem connecting', so maybe the server is down?
