Why am I seeing ads in Avast Pro?

This is very annoying! I bought the paid Avast PRO in order to not see ads! I also disabled the popups for other avast products in the settings but whey the hell am I seeing this everytime I open the main GUI?!?!



This is beyond annoying coming from a paid product! I choose the AV only because that's all I want!! Leave me the hell alone avast! I don't want your other crap!

Only in rare occasions you need to open the gui.
avast is "set and forget"

Martin, the OP stated that he had "disabled the popups for other avast products in the settings."

The other point, this isn't a popup as such, but and Ad in the lower 1/3rd of the UI. Since it isn't a popup it wouldn't be affected by the "popups for other avast products in the settings" option disabled or enabled.

Loosing "paid user revenue" could very well be the result of such strategy.

Personally I'm have a high tolerance to non-intrusive ads, such as the one here in the UI (marginally better than popups), but I'm using the free version.

It would certainly be a different story if I had paid and had changed the settings so as not to get other product popup offers, only to get them in the UI, where there is no option to disable 'all' ads.

I had two ads today one a popup and the other in the UI, both about the same thing 'Your welcome gift from Avast is ready.' Since I have been using avast free for eleven and a half years, I'm not new, so ads when they arrive really have to be relevant/smarter.

I knew what this gift would be before I even clicked the unpack it button.

The thing is David I don't have any tolerance for any intrusion when I've paid for a product.
When I purchase 'Anything' it's because I have my likes and dislikes. Up until now I've liked no advertisements in the paid product I use; That's one of the reasons why I purchased it!!
If that has changed with Avast then I don't like it and will not support it.

Yes, as I have read over the years, we as individuals all have our different tolerance levels for various annoying situations.
I'm simply saying, for me this is a deal breaker. When I pay then I get control or I don't pay.

My personal opinion is the same as Schidthouse's one.
If you pay for an app, not a single ad of a superior version should be made, neither in the interface.
Ads tolerance is zero for a lot of people (including me) 
So, if I have Premier, why should I see an "update" button

I have the same intrusive ad on mine with Premier and also the update one too. Not impressed one little bit with this Avast.
I am impressed that you have finally fixed the Smart scan and its not sticking at 43% anymore.
Remove the ads from those already paying for your product please!
