ashMaiSv.dll access denied error
« on: November 27, 2015, 11:05:53 AM »
Hello, we're using Avast Endpoint Protection. I'ts been installed on two new computers too, fresh install, nos previous versions, or anything. Windows7 x64 professional.
Sometimes after logging in i get a message about the said ashmaisv.dll "access denied" error. It doesn't cause any obvious prbolems.
However, when using thunderbird with a local smtp server, with a tls connection to it, the same message also pops up every time thunderbird tries to send an email. It's because SSL scanning is enabled by default, and semmingly it always fails/crashes/whatever. If we turn off ssl mail scanning then it works as it supposed to.
I tried a repair install on avast, didn't help.
What's causing this "access denied" error and why ssl scanning isn't working?
