My computer has been restarting frequently because of "a problem" and I suspect a virus. Installed Avast and it's scanning the files--but when the "problem" occurs and the system restarts it appears that Avast starts over rather than remembering where it was at when restart occurred. If this is the case it will never succeed in scanning all files as the "problem" will interrupt it. Is this the case? And if so is there a way you can have Avast keep track of where it is and pick up where it left off after a restart?
