Win32:Tenga found from several Windows update exe's
« on: December 11, 2005, 01:21:12 AM »
Wtf? A week ago i manually downloaded Microsoft KBxxxxxx update packets from microsoft downloadcenter, everything was fine until now Avast found Tenga virus everyone of them.I tried other (antivir) with new updates, nothing.Maybe this is false alarm, and there's something in microsoft installer that alerts?

Edit: F-Secure online scanner didn't find anything from those files

It's certainly hard to say for sure without seeing the affected files, but Tenga is a file infector, so I'd rather say the infection might be real...
Where exactly is the virus detected when you run a scan of your disk - only these few files?
Can you post the full paths, as reported by avast?

Did you disable avast! resident protection before running the online scanner? How about submitting the files e.g. to jotti (virusscan.jotti.org) - does it show anything?

This is from my laptop, because apparently Ive had this worm for a while and every single .exe that I've used in the last year is deleted . Good job.
