Avast scan of WD MyCloud NAS fails - Error 58

I have a WD My Cloud NAS (WDBCTL0040HWT) that is mapped on a Windows 10 Home 64 bit system as a network drive. I have no issues reading or writing to the drive, but AVAST fails to scan it, immediately returning the message "Scan complete. SOME FILES COULD NOT BE SCANNED". The detail given after pressing the "show results button" is "Error: The specified server cannot perform the requested operation (58)".

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for your fast reply. Unfortunately it didn't work - I get the same error when scanning the NAS as removable media as shown in the youtube clip.

WD support say that Avast might not be able to scan the Linux based MyCloud from a windows computer. Is this the case?

Windows Defender seems to scan mapped shares on the MyCloud just fine.
