Secureline VPN Reactivation after Recovery and New PC
« on: December 06, 2015, 04:14:18 PM »
Hello.

I am about ready to purchase the 1 or 2 year Secureline VPN since my trial just ended.

Fyi, I do a FULL back recovery about once a month which returns to a point in time up to about 1 year prior.  I use the free AV.

1) How do I reactivate the VPN after recovery via the free AV?  Unless I am required to do so, I will not install the VPN separately.  I'd prefer to access it via the free AV tools.

2) Since 1 or 2 years is a long time (and I occasionally change PC's), what happens if I change my PC?  Can I transfer my 1 PC license over to the new one free of charge and if so, what would I need to do?

3) Are upgraded VPN versions free of charge during the purchase period?

4) I've been seeing complaints about connection problems AFTER purchasing though the trials seemed to have worked fine.  Is there any difference between the trial and purchased versions that would cause this?

Thanks.

1]
Same way as you would do it before a recovery

2]
Just install it on the new pc and use your license

3]
Yes

4]
A trial is working a short period of time, a licensed one will work as long as the license is valid

All the above answers can easily be found on the avast website and here on this webboard.
