Hehe funny review indeed. Doesn't give a single pro/con... I wonder if they tried the programs with at least one virus  ;D (or Eicar maybe...?)

Strange indeed. I think Avast is one of the best AV out there and it is free. You can't beat that...Anyway, you should not always worry about reviews...most of them have no idea what they are talking about.

The site gave BitDefender a 5/5 rating. I just clicked over to BitDefender's web site and spoke to an operator who told me their AV (free version just like Avast) does not protect against email attacks. It does not scan incoming and outgoing email messages. Now what kind of AV is that for crying out loud? Does not protect your email?SCARY!!!!! :D ??? ;)

Check out their side by side comparison chart at http://www.anti-virus-software-review.com/index.html.

I don't even see Avast listed on the chart.   ???

Kind of hard to give a true review without showing any info on the chart in comparison to other software.   :-\

Also, check out the About Us page at http://www.anti-virus-software-review.com/about-us.html.  Is it just me or don't they say who they are or where they are located?   ???

bluegold, BitDefender 7.0 Free does not have a resident protection, so it is just a 'backup' scan (second one besides avast!  ;)). This is why the software is free... Full version of BitDefender 7.0 has, of course, full protection of email and so on. I receive a good support from the site when I need it... Anyway, we are happy with avast!  ;)

This site is just a funnel to software on Amazon.com.  Go to the side by side comparison and like bbfi stated Avast is absent.  Click on the buy me now links on the comparison chart and all links take you to Amazon.com.

On the Avast review page linked on the first post if you click on the buy me now option it takes you straight to the Alwil site.

I sent them an email requesting their data supporting Avast's rating on their site.  Let's see if they respond.  I love doing this type of stuff.  I can really give them a hard time about it.
