How can I get rid of avast signature in gmail?

Hey,

I would love you help on getting rid of avast signature in gmail.

I have latest avast free installed on my computer and lately I started having avast signature at the end of every message I am sending.
There are couple of guides on how to stop it buy none of them worked for me and I am so desperate that I want to uninstall it after having for about 5 years.
When I unchecked the Insert note into clean messages (outgoing) under Email Shield and click OK it seems fine but than when I go back in to the settings and is checked again!
It would not stay unchecked no matter how many time I do it.

Please help me fine the solution before I go crazy!

Hello Stam2,

if you are running latest build of Avast, you can disable Avast signature directly in Settings -> General > Uncheck "enable Avast email signature".

After restart of your PC, Avast email signature should be disabled. Let me know if you still have troubles with it.

I guess it would not let me uncheck because it wasn't unchecked in the General section.
