Avast Free Exceptions Data Storage
« on: December 11, 2015, 05:13:58 AM »
I have my Avast Free 2016 running well on my Windows XP SP3 fresh build.   I have entered quite a few exceptions that I am sure help Avast ( any any Antivirus Utility ) work more efficiently.

The question I have is not covered in any documentation I can find from Avast.

In what file ( and format ) are these exceptions stored ?

Can I transfer such a file to another build to save entering them all again ?

Appreciate any informed comments on this.

You can export/import your settings incl. exceptions.
Win 8.1 [x64] - Avast PremSec 21.9.6675.IBC [UI.671] - EEK - Firefox ESR 78.15 [NS/uBO/PB] - TB 91.2.1
Avast-Tools: Secure Browser 94.0 - Cleanup 21.3 - SecureLine 5.13 - Driver Updater 21.3 - CCleaner 5.85

Yes,

I can see how the "Backup"  and "Restore" works.

Thank you for the reply, and the solution.
