Avast blocking?
« on: December 17, 2015, 07:51:03 AM »
Avast seems to be blocking websites despite them being excluded. Let's say I'm just one-day browsing Tumblr, then if I refresh or try browsing further into the website I'll get a spdy_protocol error. I put the website on the excluded, wait, refresh and it's still giving me the error. Disabling the web shield, however, seems to work so I'm not sure what's wrong. The two websites are totally fine, there's no real report just a blank page on chrome saying the spdy_protocol error.

I'll suggest clean all browser cache and restart the computer. If the exception is not working, please, post both the URL and what you're typing into the exceptions dialog.

Information about spdy (too bad they didn't timestamped the article)

As of February 2015, Google has announced that following the recent final ratification of the HTTP/2 standard, support for SPDY would be deprecated, and that support for SPDY would be withdrawn completely in 2016
