Shields Disabled, Yet Shouldn't Be
« on: December 19, 2015, 04:14:58 PM »
In preferences I have the shields ENABLED, yet when I click on Status it says NOT PROTECTED, and that Web Shield & Mail Shield are "non-functional components"!  Why is this happening, and what can I do about it?

I'm using Avast Mac Security 2015  Version 11.5

There will for sure be more info in the system log file (/var/log/system.log). Can you please
post the relevant parts here? Or best, send me a support package that you create from the
Avast application (Help->Avast Technical support->Generate support package).

Thanks Tumic, but it's working now. I just manually disabled them, then enabled them again, and now they are.
