Avast Cleanup Problems
« on: January 05, 2016, 04:28:23 PM »
Hi,

I have active subscriptions for Avast Premier and Avast Cleanup.

When I do a system scan, Cleanup finds 3 problems:
1 - Network Threats.
2 - Performance Issues.
3 - Weak Passwords.

1 - I have my printer connected to my laptop wirelessly. Cleanup says I have a router connected. I do not - I have a printer. My laptop is connected wirelessly to my ISP modem.

2 - Cleanup finds 3 performance issues with my computer - system settings, junk files and unnecessary apps.

3 - Weak passwords according to Cleanup.

When I click "Resolve", the  Network Threats and  Performance Issues are NOT resolved. They are the same as before.

I am not worried about the weak passwords because I do not know what it is referring to.

How do I get these problems resolved?

Thanks
Neil

What you call modem can be a multi device.
Router/modem/firewall in one.
Check the manufacturers website to see if that is the case.

You were correct Eddy. My modem is also a router.

I had my ISP change my connection to a new one and that solved the problem of Network Threats.

However, Cleanup still does not resolve the 3 performance issues with my computer - system settings, junk files and unnecessary apps.

What do I do now?
