Just got this error today. 

Current Avast version 17.4.2294 (build 17.4.482.0). 

Firefox 53.0.3. (32 bit) 

I did uncheck the email signature and the error went away.

The email message isn't protection and therefore not needed IMHO.
It certainly needs to be addressed since it's causing problems.

i just want to add that i am also getting this gmail error in firefox with avast and it goes away if i switch avast off. i havent tried it yet with email sigs switched off but i guess i will see how i go with the next email, it seems to be some conflict with gmail email autosave

Interestingly, I am ONLY getting this #007 error in emails to Avast?DigitalRiver customer service. Which goes away by disabling the avast signature ( from 17.4.2294 Build 17.4.3482.0)

Yes getting this issue again now. Had it some time ago (1½+ years ago) and found some other fix that had to do with something in Firefox it self I think... None the less I find it interesting that it's Avast that causes it. Just like Avast is cause for some games to hang when trying to shut them down, this is/was caused by the so called game shield.... not impressive.
