Your internet connection is compromised!
« on: January 15, 2016, 03:33:54 AM »
Hello!

My apologizes for troubling, but I ran Avast Free Antivirus home network security scan and got a shock over the result. I ran the same scan this Tuesday and then it was fine. I don't know what is going on.

I attached snapshots from Avast.

Have I been hacked or infected somehow? Or is this warning that it might happen? What should I do next? I tried changing the DNS server to 8888, but nothing went better.

Sorry if I come off stupid, because I have never had any issues with routers before so I don't know much. I assume router is built into modem, because only object my ISP provider gave me is modem:
Scientific Atlanta Cisco Company 2203

It also gave me this info:
https://help.avast.com/en/ws_android/1/alert_vulnerable_router.html

I'm very grateful for any help you could give me

I had the same message. I reset the DNS settings and re-scanned. It seems that it took a while for that to take effect, the first two times I re-scanned it gave me the same message.

I re-started my computer and did the scan and all was clear. Perhaps try re-starting your computer...

Hey there!. :)
I also happens the same mistake with Avast Free. I feel unsafe to surf the Internet. If there is no solution, it might be good to change antivirus. :(

Hello,
for analysis we need some logs.
First enable debug logging: GUI -> Settings -> General -> Maitenance -> Enable debug logging
Then reproduce the issue.
Then create support package and submit it (https://www.avast.com/en-us/faq.php?article=AVKB33) and post here ID of created package so we can find it.

Thank you,
Milos

Oh, thank you!

Checked the "debug" box, downloaded this...
http://utils.support.tools.avast.com/tools/support/utils/avastsupport.exe

... and it says:

I hope this is correct
