Totally different issue I'd say. I'd recommend a separate topic. Now on topic, this is still happening. There's been numerous updates so far? When is this going to get fixed.

Hi, solution has been added to the build 5.2.1 (at the moment rollout 10%). We hope to be able to get it to 100% users next week.

Sorry to bust your bubble but it isn't. Currently using 5.2.3-12297-7178af9

Notifications: "Potential Wi-Fi problems" enabled (you will be warned when the wifi network you are connected with has never been scanned before). Well guess what, my current HOME and other networks that HAVE been connected to before and scanned STILL get flagged every 30 days. I think i worked for a version or 2 but not anymore

avast scans the wifi network every 4 weeks.
So yes, you will keep the message every time.
The solution is to fix the problem.

yeah and that problem is AVAST flagging SECURE networks as insecure! My home network is protected by WPA2-PSK with 128bit encryption key. After "scanning" yet again, my network is deemed safe as usual. The problem is AVAST flagging the network as potentially INSECURE every 30d, demanding a rescan to ultimately find nothing and deem it safe again and going back to the standard "all is well" notification.

It's AVAST that needs fixing, not my networks, cause if i disable that scanning setting the message instantly goes to "all is ok". Enable that setting again and the network is deemed potentially unsafe again. That's what this whole topic is about, and has been from the start. AVAST needs fixing, not my networks.

A pain in the butt.. I have not been keeping track but it seems at least weekly my stupid android installation says "your wireless network might not be secure", and then makes me scan it, and then of course at the end, it says it is secure and I get a page of crap ads.

Stop it! Give me some way to stop it scanning known networks. I have 2 at home and 2 at work and so I get FOUR rounds of nagging about once a week.

How do you expect people to graduate from the free to the pay version if you have software that keeps harassing you?

Hello I have the same problem. Avast scans every month my home network. It's annoying. It lasts for 9 months.

What problem ??? The Avast scan always comes back as secure. Which means there is no problem.

I've just verified that this notification is actually controlled by "Potential Wi-Fi issues" (turned on by default) switch in Settings -> Notification Settings.
If you turn off this switch, you'll never see this notification.

In case this switch is not there or not working, please try to update to latest version and try to turn off this switch again.

Sorry but I can't find that setting.
Can you be more specific ??? Thanks

Avast Mobile Security > Tools (the very right screen) > Settings > Notifications > Potential Wi-Fi issues

It does say might not be secure and that is true.
A lot can have changed in 4 weeks and without a new scan avast doesn't know if there where changes or not.
Seems to me the message that avast gives after 4 weeks is correct.

After reading all the posts, seems to me that Chevron's issue is the same as mine as well as many others. We have main networks that we connect to. For example, Home, Work, maybe the gym or say our siblings' and parent's homes.  We want a way to designate those particular networks as exceptions. Because we might still connect to other Wi-Fi networks, such as restaurants, stores when shopping so we can compare prices better. And so on. Turning the notification off is not really a viable option when one considers just how many different Wi-Fis we may be connecting with. The annoyance is that we are being notified repeatedly about networks that we know and trust. So if any of the developers read this, could you please try to give us an exception option? That would be totally awesome.

Hi, your suggestion has been forwarded to the devs.
