Pretty Sure my Newest Desktop Can Handle NG now,  I know my old one couldn't, but this one is AMD FX 8 Core Processor, AMD-V Supported and enabled, and all kinds of other Instruction support,  hard drive should be fast enough I hope, but I have no way of knowing right now why it's not offered to even install on Windows 10 Home 64bit.

I kept Avast installed on this newest PC since I really enjoy using Avast

Windows 10 Pro 64bit 1909 18363.476, Intel I7 7700 Nvidia Geforce 1050 16gb DDR4, WD 250GBSSD, 1tb Storage, Avast Free 19.8.2393
HP Omen Laptop Intel I7 7700HQ, 8gb Of Ram Windows 10 Home x64 1909 18363.476 128GB SSD, 1tb Storage, Avast Free 19.8.2393

I have a 6 core system (with 12 threads) running at 4.5GHz, 32GB of RAM, fast HDD with hybrid support from a M.2 AHCI 128GB SSD cache and NG can't run on it.

But there I have a crappy laptop with AMD E-450 dual core running at 1.6GHz, 8GB RAM and Crucial M4 128GB SSD and it can run NG even though it can barely run a browser? Lol? It just makes no sense.

Before all this I had quad core with 8 threads, running at 4GHz, 18GB of RAM, same speedy HDD without any SSD cache. Guess what. NG worked just fine.

avast team decisions just don't make any sense sometimes. And that "sometimes" is quite often lately...

Yeah NG was running on a month ago or so on my Little Atom PC LOL, barely could even open a browser, Intel Atom (Single Core) 1.8ghz, 2gb of ram, and 160gb Serial ata hard drive.   I don't know now if it would offer it if I did a add/remove programs, change, and such.    But over a month ago did notice it was running on that one.

my Old System was an HP P6-2133W, AMD APU Desktop 2.20ghz, Quad Core, Hitach 1tb hard drive 7200rpm,  8gb of ram, and AMD Radeon 6530D.

Newer PC Asus AMD FX 8310 (8 Core Processor) 8gb of ram, AMD Radeon R7 2gb, Toshiba 7200RPM 2tb hard drive

Windows 10 Pro 64bit 1909 18363.476, Intel I7 7700 Nvidia Geforce 1050 16gb DDR4, WD 250GBSSD, 1tb Storage, Avast Free 19.8.2393

Sorry, I didn't add this to release notes
- "Improved OpenVPN connection method for SecureLine VPN.  Connection setup should be 2x faster.  Please try to connect and give us your feedback"

How is this "Improvement" realized in the Stand Alone Version?
I have not received any update to my Secureline installation

Might I also get a response to my inquiry.
Is the same research and development applied to the Stand alone version as this HP laptop came with Secureline pre-installed from factory and a 30 Trial available if desired.
As this laptop does not have Avast security installed, I'm interested in knowing how/when any improvements listed in this beta will be applied to the stand alone version of Avast Secureline.
Thnx in advance :)

+1.

It's like we're just getting ignored regarding any questions towards it.

In the future would you please start a new topic each time a new release takes place?
Beta, RC or, Final Release.

Is NG working now?   Uh...No! At least it doesn't show up in Task Manager anywhere.  ???

The USER and DEVELOPER relation we had a decade ago with avast! is now entirely gone. It just doesn't exist anymore...

Agrees, before got good replys back when had questions on specific features,  no word if NG isn't in the current builds at all, if it's not triggering for some reason, absolutely nothing..

I still like Avast, and will continue using it and Mobile version on Android Phone, but doesn't really help folks deteremine if the feature is failing for some reason, not there in first place, or what.    Beta build running well on XP Laptop thus far, so happy on that part,  just wish I knew why NG isn't running on Desktop, Secureable tester from GRC.com, showed Yes on 64bit, Yes on Hardware Dep and Virtulaization, tried to find it in my Asus bios earlier to make sure Hardware Virtulization was on, but couldn't find it

(Model is Asus M52BC)

And now NG seems to be gone even for the laptop. This is just stupid. It's like having a super advanced airbag protection in a car that just decides to randomly not even be in the car... Like WTF!?

@RejZoR Avast is still having problems and the NG is not not resolved, what is going on in Avast backyard and I have no idea.

I don't understand how they expect users to rely on their solution when a component that I consider as one of the most important in avast! just randomly decides not to work at all. Because reasons. I want a predictable solution that works consistently, not when it decides to work fully and give me 100% protection it can offer and then the other times when it offers me just 60% of what it can actually do. It's ridiculous. C'mon avast! team, get your s**t together.

@RejZoR all I can say is get yourself on the plane and fly over to the New Avast head office and this is the only way you can give them a wake-up call, either way I don't think their going to listen from via Avast Forum when they might have too much on their hands I guess but what can you do and you can always borrow my shotgun ;)

Cheers ;)
