Off topic/Firefox
« on: January 27, 2016, 01:58:26 AM »
I've been using Firefox ESR for several years and always updated to the latest version.  Today it upgraded to version 44 automatically. I do have the AOS plug in which is signed but when I do a search their is no green check mark on the search results on FF or IE 11.  Is there something I need to do to get the green check mark to work?  ???

Thank you in advance.

Sounds like you did click on the wrong button/link, 38.6 is the latest version of Firefox ESR.

I didn't click on any button or link before FF upgraded yesterday.  I wasn't even on my computer when it upgraded.  I have clicked on "about Firefox" to see if their were any updates for FF ESR.  I didn't and still don't want FF 44.

https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/

Seems that 44.0b9 is the latest release (beta) and 44.0 the latest stable release

Hitting "About" in FF not only checks if you have the latest version but also updates if you don't.

Not entirely true Bob.
It depends on the settings if it automatically updates or if it asks you to update.

By default, it updates. If you've made changes to the settings than that might not be the case.

Hopefully you resolved the issue...mine automatically installed FF 44 yesterday (default settings) and the green check marks are there. FYI...thanks.
