Avast Home with multi-users on the same laptop
« on: December 25, 2005, 12:55:41 AM »
Good day,

I have been using Avast Home for over 12 months with great success. Thanks for the great software.

I am running a Toshiba Sattelite M60 and wanted to create a limited user account for my wife who is computer illiterate and only wants to be able to use Outlook Express to E-mail her friends and family.

When she logs on, there is pop-up about upgrading to Avast Pro, and if she closes it, Avast will not load, leaving the computer unprotected. The only solution I have found is to give her account admin rights with limited access, then Avast loads as per normal and all is well.

How can I set up a limited account for her and still get Avast to load?

Thank you for your time,

P. Lynn Miller

I suppose that avast is working normally into the first Administrator account.
Did you change the time and date of your computer recently?
Did you use the Trial version or you just registered the Home one?
In which folder did you install avast?
