60 Day Trial expired after less than 2 weeks...
« on: December 25, 2005, 01:21:36 AM »
??? My friend's 60 day trial of avast expired after less than 2 weeks.  I installed it on his system for him - it is the new Pro version........he tried to run a virus scan, and it keeps asking for the reg. number and says it is expired.  (I'm not talking about the reminder window)........he is disabled, so I am asking for him on here........
now what????

Check the system date, especially the month and year, it is quite possible that it has been changed. There is an anti-piracy function to stop the system date being set back so it could be taht but unlikely.

Did they uninstall it at any time as that too would be taken as the trial has concluded.

There is an antipiracy feature, besides the one David said, that avoid reinstallation of the Trial version.
If you uninstall it, even in the same day you've installed, the new one will work only for 6 days.
