I am using Internet Download Manager (IDM) with Avast Free Antivirus (only file shield+web shield).
While downloadig a file, IDM divide the files some parts then manage them 1 again.
I downloaded a malware sample today with IDM.. Avast blocked same URL for 33 times only for 1 sample.
I hope everything was OK with Avast, I suspect from a bug in Avast?

What do you think? My system is clean thanks Avast.

This really needs to be in its own new topic in the Viruses & Worms forum.

This hasn't really got anything to do with a program version but the virus definitions, which are the same across many different program versions.

I have Windows 10 installed on my desktop PC.
I have also downloaded the latest version of Avast Antivirus Version: 11.1.2253.
However, I noticed that my manually created Restore Points as well as those automatically created by Microsoft during updates kept being deleted every time I start my PC the next day after switching it off.
Please let me know what could be the problem.
Thank you.

Are you sure that you have the service turned on??? As you can see, I'm not seeing any problems on Windows 10.

I have windows 7 pro, when I installed the last program update (on 2/28) it turned my firewall off, and I could no longer access the internet, and the program couldn't access it either

1. Why avast Internet Security 2016 didn't allowed KProcessHacker driver to run?
KProcessHacker part of ProcessHacker driver, made by wj (wj32.org) and its opensource.

2. I don't know i should put this in bug report or not.
Sometime avast Internet Security 2016.11.1.2253 hang WinRAR process. It happen when i try to compress many file with many WinRAR instance.
My WinRAR version is 5.31 x64.

My OS is win 7 x64 with current update (Feb 2016), except GW10 KB update, of course. And I disable all telemetry except some wicked telemetry service (dps and others).
Oh... another thing, i disabled hardened mode, deep screen, program behaviour notify, etc, in another word i only enable some "normal" setting according to me.

That programme can be used for good or bad...  And recently that was used to install a rootkit...  Hence Avast does not like it

hey guys
since I updated to the new version about 2 weeks ago I've been having major problems with connecting to the internet. It takes windows a good 20 minutes to connect.
if this continues I'm going to have to delete AV and use something else so any solutions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
thx. :)

Try a repair. No problems here connecting.

Repair Avast:
Control Panel> Program and Features (Add/remove program)>Select Avast> Select Repair. Reboot when completed

If Repair doesn't fix the problem, try the following:
Clean Install of Avast:
