3 devices with same IMEI on Account
« on: February 04, 2016, 09:58:23 PM »
Hi - I wish to clean up the 3 devices listed in Avast! Actually there are 2 phones; all have the same IMEI.

The oldest phone's Anti-Theft was not disabled before moving its sim card to the new phone. It won't accept the PIN or send a Recovery message.

How do I get past my, very effective, but disabling Anti-Theft?

Can I be sure Removing phone in My Avast! Will not harm my new and current phone?

Thanks!

Remove them all from your account and only connect the one(s) you are using.

OK, So, you are saying to remove the devices that are not connected to My Avast!. Correct?

Can you also address the Anti-Theft disabling my previous phone?

Thanks!

I have just changed handsets so here is my experience.
Put a SIM in your old handset. It will not work without a SIM card installed.
Enter your code to get into the avast menu.
Disable Anti-theft.
Exit.
Go to your phone Application manager.
Find the Anti-theft and choose uninstall program.
Anti-theft will be removed from your handset.

You can do a factory reset after this (I did) to make sure old phone has no remaining issues or personal details.

In your my.avast account choose the handset you are not using anymore and delete it.

Hope that helped.
