Has anyone heard of Hamachi?

It seems to a "zero-configuration" VPN service.

Any thoughts/comments on the security of Hamachi?

Haha, that's good my friend... working hard never hurts... unless you have to work on construction and then one heavy brick drops down from the 7th floor right on your head, haha    Then it hurts....

Trust me, they had nothing else to say about it but wonderful things... it looks like perfect utility, they even called it (many times) a part of the holy grail. Another fine piece of software from Canada (Vancouver)... really nice to hear.

question remains is this going to be better than open source secured tunels ? (ie like http://sourceforge.net/projects/sslexplorer/ )

Just this part at the beginning of their conversation tells a lot:

Miha, and best of all it works as a charm ! I just installed it on my father's PC in Croatia. We have our small private network, and I connected through UltraVNC to his computer in no seconds... unbelievable fast, and of course I use Hamachi network IP on his PC to connect to.

I have to say, it's unbelievable fast, much faster than "regular" ways and we both are on ADSL (although his connection is quite bit slower than mine).

This is wondeful ! It simplifies things so much. And that small messaging module is also very useful, and best of all, clean, simple and it does what it's supposed to do.

I am behind my hardware router/firewall as well as behing my ZA free (testing new version again, gave up on Kerio finally  ). People using software firewalls shouldn't forget to allow Hamachi network (IP range) in trusted area. See example how i set it in my ZA:

Has any one figured out how to do file tranfers utilizing Hamachi ?
