Why has my post been removed?
« on: February 06, 2016, 08:18:49 PM »
The following post has vanished, just like sms remote control!

I can assure everyone 100% that a response answering a question is far more helpful than a response deleting the question.
I thought that this was a help forum,
I have searched and not found the answer to my q.
I also add that uninstalling and reinstalling does not help, uninstalling on its own currently appears to be the best answer........

Hello, Avast mobile security and ant itheft installed on a Nexus 5 running Android 6.
Avast products updated to 5.0.14 the option to send remote SMS commands has gone.
I looked online and can see no mention of this, your faq 'where are missing features' states removal of firewall and network monitor. No mention of removing sms command feature.
ant itheft still shows a reference to sending sms by stating that sms can be sent invisibly by the >kitkat feature, but where can I do this?
Has the feature been removed, or is it invisible? or need pro? which I suspect.....
I would appreciate your help.
Thanks

I don't believe your post was removed.
This webboard (avast has altered the original software) has some bugs making post not to come through after hitting the post button.

I can only answer your question "or need pro".
There is no premium version anymore.
There is only the AMS 5 free version.

Hello, thank you for your reply, my post was posted, it had 11 views with 0 replies the last I saw it on here earlier today.
I can only assume the once great feature is no longer available.
I need to downgrade to when it was present, need an apk, but I suppose that will be a new post.
Thanks again.

I can't remember at the moment if it was for AMS or anti-theft but I did post a link to a apk recently.
You may want to check my posts for it.

I'm not from avast customer support nor do I work for avast.
I'm just a user like you, but do know a thing or 2 about avast and their products. ;)

Yeh, I know, thanks for your input and replies, my comment was aimed at Avast CS who did not come in and post a simple "We removed it" V5 looks awful and does not do much better.......the amount of ratings on Play Store from people saying they like it, could never have used v4, or had no idea about it's invaluable features, or dare I say it it....are these ratings, ahem, ....well you know........sometimes firms are hired to ......well you know.....
