Screen Lock back door
« on: February 18, 2016, 04:38:43 PM »
Dear Team,
Does Avast plan to block the reboot menu access on the locked screen?
My device can be switched off despite the screen is locked.
I feel it a back door to step over of anti theft.
Regards,
T

Every device can be switched off even without power menu on screen, so... Just long long press of power button and it's off.

Not so. I know on Nexus Devices, holding the power button for 10 seconds only causes the phone to restart. I've tested it. This isn't as bad because once the phone starts back up then Avast Anti-Theft should kick back in. Unless they just keep restarting it I guess but that would still be an effort in futility.

It's the power menu that comes up when you hold the power button for like a second that lets you shut down the phone completely. If this software could add a feature to block that power menu when the device is locked, like Cerberus or Prey, that would be a big improvement. I'm new to Avast, how do we request features like this?
