Update Virus List
« on: December 30, 2005, 07:23:37 AM »
Dear sir,
I am using VPOP3 Enterprise developed by PSCS Ltd. I installed Avast! For VPOP3 and it is scanning all incoming & outgoing emails very effectively. Good products! However I cannot update the virus list, it is now showing "Avast! for VPOP3" Version Info : Version 3-2312, Compiled 09.10.2003", which is very old.
Please help me how to download virus updates manually from your web site or when the evaluation expired, how can I register it.
Thank you for your help!

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

There should be a file called <VPOP3>\avast\setup\setup.log. What timestamp does it have (i.e. has it been updated lately?) If so, please post some last 100 lines of it...

Thanks
Vlk

You can download latest version of avast engine:
http://files.avast.com/iavs4pro/avastoem.exe

Run it with command-line:
avastoem. exe /noreboot /destpath "E:\VPOP3\_avast" /oem "VPOP3" /verysilent

Then check if virus database was also updated.
