Of course it might be great for Windows Phone customers, but their market share is very small. I can't seem them putting in the programming time (and money for a free product) for a very small market share.

I'm also certain this has been asked before and we are still in the same place no avast program for Windows Phone OS. Then it would also be for what version of Windows Phone as that would further depreciate the small market share.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.2.6105 (build 24.2.8918.824) UI 1.0.799/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

Hi,
I think like myself there are more and more longtime Avast users changing from Android to WindowsPhone who now are desperately
searching for an Avast application in the Windows Mobile Store but only find fake products!
Having lost my old Android I just changed to a cheap but technically very good WindowsPhone (8.1) but found out there is no official Avast app for it. Searching on this forum I just found a theme from Spulci (august 2016) with her final remark:
"As a Windows phone user I hope to see an Avast tool soon on this OS" - That's what I hope too!
But now it's 8 months later, so my question is: ¿Is there still no Avast app for WindowsPhone?
I think it's time for Avast to change their policy now!
How could we persuade them to develop that app (at least for WP 8.1 and 10)?!?!
Many thanks in advance for your answer!

avast has already explained that there are no plans for a Windows Phone application because there are only a few people (compared to other OS's) that are using Windows Phone.

No, that's not true, the situation has changed!

The Windows Phone market share still isn't that much, 2.56% of all phone sales, and that is for all versions of windows phone (despite what the URL says) as there is no breakdown of windows phone 7/8.x/10.

I'm avast users not avast team:
But this really isn't that much to warrant the workload, especially when it is to be a free version. I suspect that it may required a different version for windows phone 8.x & 10.
