How to enable Flash Player on SafeZone browser?
« on: February 25, 2016, 08:33:15 PM »
Hello.

I've noticed that when I browse via SafeZone browser, sites that require Flash Player (e.g. speedtest.net) do not work properly.

How can I enable Flash Player on SafeZone browser? Flash Player is already installed on my computer, and works well on the other browsers (Chrome, Edge, IE).

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Download it from here: https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Restart the browser after the flash player is installed.

Hi,

Download it from here: https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Restart the browser after the flash player is installed.

There are many(5) Windows Flash Player versions:

Internet Explorer - ActiveX   21.0.0.197
Internet Explorer (embedded - Windows 8.1) - ActiveX   21.0.0.182
Edge (embedded - Windows 10) - ActiveX   21.0.0.182
Firefox, Mozilla - NPAPI   21.0.0.197
Chrome (embedded), Opera, Chromium-based browsers - PPAPI   21.0.0.197

SZ uses PPAPI.

If you have multiple browsers you need the appropriate flash for each.

Note: Flashes update notification will only update one of them, your current default browser. The rest you need to do, from each browser category, manually.

I got the same issue, but the proposed solution does not work: the message I get is "Flash Player is pre-installed in Google Chrome, but not enabled.
You can skip the steps below. See Enable Flash Player on Google Chrome".
How to enable it ?
Many thanks

As far I know, the "Google Chrome" you're seeing in this message is the "Chromium" code (open source) used in SafeZone browser.
As SafeZone is an isolated environment, you cannot add/change extensions or plugins there.
I don't think Flash Player plugin will work on SafeZone (although I'm not an expert on this).

Plugins are supported in SZB, if you have such message, please make sure you have PPAPI (out-of-process) flash player plugin installed.

check this page in SZBrowser: browser://plugins
- click "Show details" on that page

Rather than start a new thread.......

Done all the above and no joy! In detail, all was working perfectly until a few days ago, then I got the message 'flash player is out of date' on a 'flash' site. Hit the update button, downloaded PP version (for chrome etc.), went to install. Adobe downloader just froze - got the download window, empty, and went no further.

Checked my Flash on Chrome itself and that is working perfectly - v22. Went to browser:plugins and Safezone seems to think it still has v21 when Avast itself tells me all my flash players are up-to-date........

What now??

How to get the PPAPI flash player plugin installed, and not the NPAPI one ?

Choose the correct version on the Adobe download site.

Did you click on "Need Flash Player for a different computer?" ?

Many thanks, eventually it worked, but very complicated: 2 failed installations, than redirected to the Adobe Installation problems page, new download and installation of PPAPI version, than blocked pc with blu screen, but now it works.
