Still Getting the Daily Digest -- Please Stop Sending It!
« on: March 10, 2016, 12:45:02 PM »
I have repeatedly tried to unsubscribe and have another screenshot I just did where it clearly states the following:

"You aren't receiving notifications on any boards right now."

BUT I get a Daily Digest daily and I wish for this to stop.  Please.  Thank you.

You need to change the setting in your profile to stop notifications.

The latest screenshot I did 6 minutes before this thread was started states not only what I posted in the OP, but also has the following in the top section:

"For topics and boards I've requested notification on, notify me of: Nothing at all."

I have also hit that unsubscribe link in the past in the email message sent to me.  I was so sure last time I was here to achieve this stopping of the Daily Digest I had everything unchecked, like it showed a short time ago in the aforementioned screenshot.  In other words, everything I see shows I shouldn't be getting anything from you fine folks, BUT ...

Maybe I am missing something and I am so stupid I can't figure out what I am missing, so maybe you should set your board for unsubsctribing so that it is so simple even an idiot like me can figure out how to stop your emailed Daily Digest.  Please.  Thank you.

I think I have now figured out which browser to use to meet your demand for proof of what I have already written.

You have topic notifications enabled and you have set them to daily notify.
So yes you will get a daily notice.

If you don't want that, change the settings.

Here is a good start to learn about them :

I believe I have already informed you of just how stupid I am, so let me use a picture to show you what I see and please let me know what I am missing, thank you.

The problem as I see it is a bit of a contradiction:
You have Two Topics that you have asked for notification on, yet you have the Notify me of 'Nothing at all.'

I don't know how the forum software would get around this, which has priority or does one cancel the other out. By the look of it one has priority.

The first thing I would suggest is to Unnotify those two topics.
I don't receive any notifications even though I have a positive action to be taken if I have topics set to notify, as I have zero topics set to notify.

I use the options at the top of the forum pages to view replies to my posts or unread posts since my last visit.
Show unread posts since last visit.
Show new replies to your posts.

So for me no need for notifications.
