Avast web security green ticks and DuckDuckGo

Hi,

I'm running a Windows 7 Home Premium desktop with Avast Free Antivirus 2015.  I use the Firefox browser 41.0.2 and have just installed the DuckDuckGo search engine addon.  Should I still be able to see the green ticks against safe sites?  I am not getting the ticks although the Avast web security icon on the toolbar is still working.  If I open a new tab and use Google Search the ticks return.

I have tested the 'Web of Trust' addon and its colour code system works correctly with DuckDuckGo and Google search engines so it seems there are compatibility problems between Avast and DuckDuckGo.

Any comments and advice would be much appreciated, thank you.

I am using duckduckgo and also see this problem. Any chance of fixing it please?

Whilst I'm not aware of any hard and fast confirmation of this by avast, doesn't it only work with Google Search ?

It seems so on my system as they aren't present when I use Yahoo search (my default search).
