Avast cannot make updates as my licence has expired !!!

Hi everybody and happy new year 2006 !

I've been using avast V.4.6 edition familiale in freeware from a while now .

But since the 1st january 2006, it cannot download updates as it says that my licence key is wrong or my licence may have expired.

It is still working but but may be less powerful as it cannot be updated.

Can you help me and tell me how I can find a new licence key or valid my my licence again, please ?

Check your system date and ensure that the month and year are correct.
