The method for SafeZone is perhaps unwise but the option is interesting therefore 50/50. Thanks Avast. ;)

I have just noticed Avast SafeZone Browser has been installed on my system as part of the Free Avast Browser. I have come across an article in PCWorld which reports "Serious flaw discovered in Avast's security-focused SafeZone browser" ( http://www.pcworld.com/article/3030319/security/researcher-finds-serious-flaw-in-chromium-based-avast-safezone-browser.html ) dated Feb 5, 2016

Can you tell me if this has been fixed in the latest version that has just been installed on my PC (   1.48.2066.95  ).

Sorry avast!  As negative as this may sound, the browser still doesn't work properly. So why force it on all your customers?

 >:(  Not a happy bunny.  Today I found a new icon on my system.  No notification, no opportunity to refuse, 'fait accomplit' so there, Avast knows best!!
It appears that two versions 1.48.2066.44_0 and 1.48.2066.95_0 arrived on my system within five minutes.  (1733hrs and 1738hrs)

Avast SafeZone - I did not ask for it, I did not want it so I decided to uninstall it.  Now it all started to get nasty.  There is no way I can remove this piece of software.
It does not appear under Programs & Features in Control Panel so there is no uninstall option there.  Although I am set up and run my system as the only Administrator,
anyone else uses it only as a guest, it seems that something in the SafeZone software is overriding my permissions with its own.  Each attempt to delete the Avast SafeZone
folder is rejected, initially saying requesting Administrator permission,(I am the only Administrator),followed by a similar window saying I need permission from the
Administrators - do they mean Avast?

I have been through the complete package and there is no - recognisable - uninstall file.  I cannot even delete any individual file within the overall package, neither, as Administrator,
can I alter the Permissions on any folder or file within the package.  Even where I can initially change a permission it reverts to the Avast generated setting as soon as I exit the Permissions tabs.

Even Micro$oft hasn't managed to defeat me to this extent, or get me so annoyed.

Get your programming fingers out, guys and issue an uninstallation package with alacrity before you lose quite a few previously happy users.

Further to my previous post, since SafeZone installed itself my internet connection to my normal browser seems to be running through treacle.
As an example, my browser welcome page now takes some thirty seconds to load instead of being virtually instantaneous.  This is with my usual
download speed of around 15 mbps.

Have now managed to, ALMOST, remove the SZ Browser using the Update/Repair/Modify facility.  However, no matter what I do, I cannot remove the SZ Browser folder
or the .bat file that remains in it.    >:(

Please (re)search before posting.
How you can remove the SafeZone Browser has already been explained several times.

1]
Through control panel > software > avast > change

2]
Disable avast self-defense and delete the folder/files.
Remove the registry entries for it.
Enable avast self-defense again.

When I found SZ Browser on my System, I was just glad to get it free after having so much trouble with the buggy sandboxie.
When you others update your avast, you don't agree to another EULA - do you? And after the update you also get another program, because avast has changed in the new version.
I wanna say thank you Avast, for the SZ Browser, but fix this flaw:
http://www.pcworld.com/article/3030319/security/researcher-finds-serious-flaw-in-chromium-based-avast-safezone-browser.html
And better you let user next time choose if they want to install an new program.
