A repair didn't change anything so I'm going to hook up my other win 10 pc.  SafeZone Browser works fine on that one.

The second part of the instruction said to do a clean install if repair didn't work. :)

        Hi all,
How about a settings change : Avast/Settings/Components/SafeZone Browser/  ON-OFF switch.
This would make it easy to load or unload SafeZone.

Good suggestion. Something already on the list of things to be added. :)

Is Safezone a fully-functional option under XP?   The reason I'm asking is that I thought SafeZone was Chrome-based, and Chrome stopped supporting XP a few months ago.
(I apologize if this has already been answered elsewhere...)
Lenovo T530 laptop, Intel Core i5-3320M @ 2.60 GHz, 8GB RAM, Windows 7 Pro SP1 (64-bit), avast! 17 Free, MBAM3 Pro, Windows Firewall, MVPS HOSTS file, OpenDNS Family Shield, Zemana AntiLogger Free, SpywareBlaster, IE11 & Firefox [both using WOT (IE set to WARN, FF set to BLOCK)], WinPatrol PLUS, uBlock Origin, MBAE, MCShield, CryptoPrevent, SAS (on-demand scanner).
[I believe computer-users who sandbox (Sandboxie) are acting prudently.]

SafeZone browser isn't Chrome. It's supported by Avast. :)

Avast Safe Zone Web Browser looks very similar to Google Chrome Web Browser so it makes since that some people may think that the two web browsers are related. Perhaps Avast maybe borrowed the design of the Google Chrome Web Browser and paid Google Cash 4 the Copy Right User Fees.

I'm way behind on things as I didn't check things out as much as I used to due to my not being able to log in into the avast forums in ages.  With some help from someone on another forum, I tried their tip of trying a Private Tab.  After several grueling tries, I finally managed to log in.  The log in process is still obviously very inconsistent, but I'm nevertheless in.

Anyway ... straight up question.  In Googling up info on SafeZone Browser, I saw some articles, albeit from February 2016, that mentioned that there was a Google Researcher who discovered a huge security flaw in SafeZone Browser.  Point blank --- HAS that huge security flaw been fixed?

It would be cool if there was separate download links for SafeZone for all Avast and non-Avast users.

Not currently available. It's already on the wish list. :)
