Having several problems with Avast Pro
« on: October 01, 2017, 03:10:17 PM »
Hi. Ever since the change of interface or software update. I've been having problems. These are the following:
1. Scheduled scan not starting on time
2. When the scheduled scan starts and I click on the "computer that has the bar going left and right", the scan will restart.
3. At times the scan will just stay at 0% and have to restart it multiple times. That is why a preferred the previous version that showed the files that were being scanned. At least by that I know that the computer hasn't frozen.
4. Speaking of freezing, before I still was able to play games while waiting for the scan to finish but now the games are freezing. Just now while I am writing this my computer froze several times. Although, system manager was showing that the scan is not using that much memory.
5. After the scan, I cannot view the scan results because clicking on the "Details" button will just restart the scan. And most of the time it will not give me any notification that the scan has finished when I am using my computer like when I am watching videos or playing games.
6. Recently, it had been preventing my computer from starting. Though, I was able to fix this when I did a "system restore".
I really liked your product that is why I decided to upgrade to the pro version, but with all these issues, I am not sure if I will continue my subscription. And, to be honest, I will not be surprised if I encounter another issue after a few weeks.

Oh, I almost forgot. I run a scheduled scan daily with the option to shutdown my PC afterwards. Just yesterday, when it ran, it shut down my PC even though the scan was just at 68% based on the pop up window that appears on the bottom right.

Repair Avast:
Control Panel> Program and Features (Add/remove program)>Select Avast> Select Repair. Reboot when completed
