Hello all, I tried running a system scan, it was on 0% for 30 mins until it eventually moved to 1%. No Idea what has caused this. It has worked nicely before however.
I have tried using the repair feature, but that had no effect.
Smart Scan works fine however. I have done a scan with Malwarebytes which detects no viruses at all.
Can anyone help?

If we are technical, malwarebytes does not detect/target virus. All virus is malware, but all malware is not virus   ;)

see instructions here  >>  https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0
scroll down to second picture > Farbar Recovery Scan Tool <  run it as instructed and attach the two logs

See below the box you write in > Attachments and other options

You have near enough half a terabyte of data on the drive, so it will take some time..  However, I am not sure why the indicator is so erratic

I did a reinstall, then another quick scan, and still the same, result, it's strange that the smart scan works fine, but quick scan seems endless, furthermore, when I left my full scan running until it reached 30 minutes, which it did 1% It said it scanned 498GB worth of stuff, there isn't even that much on there!

EDIT: Gave the Quick Scan a lot more time, and it seems to have jumped further, maybe I was being too impatient with it, but I don't recall it taking this long to do it. Thank you all for the advice. It seems to be fine now. :)

Yes there is so much data.
Drive c: (OS) (Fixed) (Total:921.88 GB) (Free:418.25 GB) NTFS

You also have things running and that will slow down scanning.
