Cant you do it yourselfe?
you click his name, and on left side > send PM
He can't (antispam measures for few posts).
<snip>

I don't believe the old anti-spam measure (20 posts) is still in force. I have had PMs (even though I ask not to) from users with zero or very few posts.
So have I.  :(

And I thought Avast 4.8 was already dead for several years.
But it still seams to be struggling ;)

It is, but this is ridiculous. They've been killing this thing for years and now I see they still waste resources on it.

Hello,
we know about the issue and we are working on a fix.

Milos
Stop wasting time and hard work on a dead Avast!4.8.Avast! should also stop virus definition updates for Old Avast! versions.

Gentlemen, I am using Windows XP x64, and Avast 4.8 works wonderfully on it, it's probably the most unobtrusive and most effective virus program for this platform.  And Windows XP is far from dead.  It will be supported with security updates until 2019.  Yes, I still use Windows 7 on my laptop and gaming computer, but I MUST have Windows XP on my productivity machine.  Anything later is just counterintuitive and impedes my productivity.

So please understand why I'm so grateful to Avast for continuing to maintain 4.8.

Also, please consider that Avast most likely has enterprise customers with LAN servers who do not want to update software, and are probably still paying for their enterprise licenses.  So that's another reason why it's still being maintained.

Milos, thanks for your wonderful work over the years.  I hope to continue using version 4.8 for many years to come!
