Question about Vundo
« on: January 13, 2006, 04:07:19 AM »
Hello,
my sister had this geede.dll thing running all the time and we decided to install avast home to get rid of it. We scheduled a scan and avast sent the file to chest. I was wondering if that gets rid of it or do we still have to do more to totally get rid of the trojan. I heard its hard to remove this one.

Thx

Hello Crispy,

Get this removal tool here: http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/trojan.vundo.removal.tool.html

and run it. This may clear all traces of it.

 :)  Crispy :

If the Symantec "Removal Tool" does NOT work for you,
I would encourage you to seek assistance at an
antiSPYWARE forum, such as www.landzdown.com .
