Shield didnt work

I´m with a lil problem: that lil "a" in my tool bar isnt there:(.
I tried the AEC and repair, but is the same. No "a" or "i" for me.

What can I do?

PS: the antivirus scan is ok.

Hello :)

Can you try to run the file C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashDisp.exe ?
