Thanks...You know i tried everything I knew to expand the window so I could see what was there after Unable to scan AR. I used the slider at the bottom and nothing. I made the whole window larger and that didn't work either. Can you tell me (pretty please) how to make it so we can see the middle?

Also, would it be possible to move all those items to Chest? Or do I have to live with all those Unable to files every time I scan?

Thanks for your patience.... :-[

Hover the mouse pointer between the two column headings until it changes to a <-||-> left click and hold whilst dragging the mouse to the right.

THANKS..i AM DOING ANOTHER SCAN. When it is finished how can I get a screen shot of the whole scanned page? I have only been able to do what shows in the window, then have to pull more down and do nother screen shot and save it.

Hoping I can get an answer before it is finished.

We don't need to see the whole page (1000 plus entries), just a select ion of the common entries.

However, you already have an answer:
By examining 1) the reason given by avast! for not being able to scan the files, 2) the location of the files, you can get an idea of what program they relate to.

Files that can't be scanned are just that, not an indication they are suspicious/infected, just unable to be scanned.

Isn't there a chance that some of those 1500 items could be infected with a virus if the AV can't scan them? If not, could I put them in the Chest file so it wouldn't come up with the 1500+ items every time I do a AV scan?

Possible however, if it was then once it was unpacked then avast will catch it.  In reality unscanable are just generally nuisance files, if you clean your temp folder using something like crapcleaner and delete old (2 weeks) Adaware and spybot deletions you should find the number of unscanables reducing dramatically

I see they are all password protected. I will send one screen and you can check them. What can I do with them so they don't show up during every scan? I use CCleaner several times a day, have cleaned out old Ad Aware stuff and will do Spybot S&
D.

You still haven't opened the Name of File column so we can see the \...\ bits, so we still don't know what they are.

I believe David is talking about expanding the Name of file column so we can see the full path to the files.

Most of the items are Ad Aware skins, but it won't let me send the screen shot, cause it says it is too big.

I'll figure something out..

Is it possible to set Avast so it won't scan Ad Aware at all?

I tried cropping one screen shot, but it is still too big to send.

MaDonna try changing format to gif and see if size is smaller.
