How to correct non-existent email address
« on: May 09, 2016, 05:38:12 AM »
I have just paid for a license for Avast but inadvertently screwed up the email address - transcription error. So now my account is linked to a non-existent email address to which the sstem has presumably tried to sent instructions and which will in future be the address for renewals and so forth.

How can I correct this. Is there an email address for direct communication?

For the record I am currently touring outback Australia so my opportunities to go on-line or to use the phone will be somewhat patchy. But when I do have cover it should be stable on the day. ATM I am obviously on-line.

As has been explained many times, you need to submit a ticket.

To do so I need to provide my order confirmation. However I lost that when I rebooted to initiate the update. Order confirmation is a required field.

I know it is not a favoured route but perhaps there some way that I can directly email them? I can't easily find any way to on their site.

Apologies if there is a simple answer somewhere that could be found but I am compromised in comms and tools ATM. Australia is a big and often remote frontier.

Thanks Eddy. I owe you a beer.

I've been distracted for the last couple of attending to some exploding glass in my caravan (seriously) but have now submitted the form you have linked me to.
