For the past 30 days, every day remainders
« on: May 09, 2016, 04:48:10 PM »
This Is not totally annoying, but there are days when things like that can be irritating, especially when last night before going to sleep I had the same msg. "You antivirus subscription will expire in 30-29-28 and so on " on daily bases and this morning again, the same thing.
It's OK to have reminder intervals e.g. at 30 days of expiration day, than 15 days and maybe 1-2 days before, but not  to the point of harassing every day.
Can this be  turned  off I don't need to be reminded every day
Btw. I'm referring to avast antivirus pro
Thanks

Unfortunately, I don't think it's possible to disable it.

However, it shouldn't harass the users, maybe once per week in the last month and in the last 5 days, daily.

It's up to the Avast team if they want to change it though.

Yes I didn't see any option in the program itself I even looked in avast rot folder for ini. but there are all dll's
Outpost firewall  and OSS had similar reminder  as far is there subscription and news but you could easly modify it in machine ini. of the outpost.
Here we go again, my next machine  just got this reminder again
Well. few more days, they will be all gone.
Thanks

Nahh......  ;) not worth the hassle, they don't listen anyways, or do they, ya   :D
I thought maybe someone have dealt with that before and there is hidden feature to turn this off, something I wasn't aware of   :)

One thing for sure if you don't tell them they certainly won't hear you.

If you are actually intending to renew, then proceeding with that should extend the duration remaining + 1 year, so you shouldn't lose out.

There is no hidden feature:
There is another topic about this and there are several suggestions from having a less aggressive reminder - 30days, 2weeks, 1week and daily countdown.

I suggested having a drop down list (similar to the reboot after a program update) where you can opt to have the next reminder in 1week, 2weeks, 3weeks, etc.
