the avast.com website question
« on: May 14, 2016, 02:27:52 PM »
hi, i notice when i visit the https://www.avast.com website on my chrome browser using my windows 8.1 laptop the security icon on chrome says "this site supplied invalid certificate transparency infomatation" when i go to the details of the certificate its issued by avast! web/mail shield root vaild from 2014/12/17 to 2017/12/21  i have the latest version of avast installed on my laptop.

when i visit the avast website using my chrome browser on an older windows 7 laptop also using latest version of avast and click on the security icon it seems more legit and has the full AVAST Software.inc [US] written in full in the address bar and chrome says your connection to this website is private and the certificate is issued by Digicert SHA2 Extended Validation server CA valid from 2015/03/15 to 2017/03/17

i have the latest version of avast free 11.2.2262 on both computers

why is this?

Very likely a different setting in the Chrome browsers you are using or different browser versions.
