Removal SZBrowser ?
« on: June 03, 2016, 08:37:03 AM »
Greetings from the GREAT Country of TEXAS,

What is required to remove your BROWSER?  I do not approve of this type of activity, if I had requested this would be a different matter.  OR if it had be offered before installation it would be considered.

Since this was done without my knowledge it is needed to be removed.  Do not use a variety of browsers not even Microsoft's.

Although the way avast "introduced" the SafeZone Browser to users of avast free certainly will not earn a "beauty price", why not try the browser first ?
You can always remove it later if you don't like it. ;)

Asyn or anyone that knows,

Nothing in CP references Avast Installer = Installer Avast - Setup Wizard - Avast Setup et ceteras . . .

Only item found ~\AVAST Softare\Avast\x64\setupinf.exe with 'File desription' of "Avast Antivirus Installer" and when executing said file NOTHING happens.  Logged in as my Administrator without internet access.

Any more ideas?

Excuse me please, am in the process of following the instructions to the CP and have found the instructions are not complete.  There is not a selection of "MODIFY" "CHANGE" is the one needed to be used.

Still working on my system . . SUCCESS!  made my changes without modifying as per the instructions.  My version is 11.2.2262 as of 04/27/2016 also did a check for update and that is latest version.

Greetings from the Great country of TEXAS,

Excuse me again, was in such a rush to get a report out and neglected to give details.  All finished well except for the LOG OFF, took about 15 minutes to complete as it was completing a BSOD was presented for about three (3) seconds then the black screen came up and reboot started.  Because of that used F8 to enter SafeMode then rebooted agin and entered my user account where all seems to be working as expected.  Checked the SZBrowser folder and all that is in there is "k.bat" nothing else.

Thank you again for the LEARNING experience . .
