Avast delays print job
« on: June 09, 2016, 10:36:43 AM »
Hello everyone,

i installed Avast Business on a Windows Server 2008 Enterprise. There are several printers configured and printers HL-2250DN from Brother are making problems when Avast is active. So my Brother printer is configured as default printer and when I click in Adobe Reader on print it takes up to 10 seconds until the print dialog shows up. When I disable filesystem protection in Avast then the print dialog shows up immediately. During the pending time there is a splwow64.exe process running with 100% CPU usage on one core. I tried to add this process to the exclusion list as well as the Adobe Exe-Files, but this does not change anything.

Every other printer configured as default printer does not show this behaviour. At the moment I don't know what I even could do to get it working.

Does anybody have an idea?

Best regards
