Running Clean-up causes BSOD
« on: June 12, 2016, 11:15:54 PM »
I have a HP Intel i5 2.20GHz laptop - graphics card HD Graphics 5500. I recently bought a new clean up licence. Every time I try to do a clean up, my laptop goes Blue screen of death with 'there is a problem with your pc' message and then re-boots itself. Any ideas ?

Disable auto-reboot and write down the message on the BSOD.
Post it here.

Also attach the log file from CleanUp to your next post here.

the message reads:
Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. Collecting error info.
if you'd like more info search on line for SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION aswSP.sys.

there are new files Pagefile.sys, Swapfile.sys and hiberfil.sys in the Avast Software directory. I have attached the Avast Browser Cleaner Log - if this isn't the log you are looking for let me know where to find the right one.

Thank You

Regards

Danny

That is the BCU log, not the avast CleanUp log.
