Suspicious file scan met with error 7005

Hi, I'm a bit concerned. I noticed a suspicious file on my mac that I thought might be malware, and when I tried to scan it, before the scan even started, I was met with a notice that the scan had failed. An error message in red displayed: (Interrupted with error 7005: Connection to antivirus engine has been lost.) Also, whenever I try moving the item to the trash, I am met with a message saying that the item cannot be moved to the trash because it cannot be deleted.

Please help,

suspicious file(s) can be uploaded and tested here  www.virustotal.com  /  www.metadefender.com  /  www.jotti.org
If tested before always click rescan for a fresh result
