Hi,

I was using version 10.4.2233 and I am apparently now obliged to update, since from 2 weeks, no database update is possible (see other thread https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=187680.0)
From this thread, I understood that there is no free version compatible with a non-SSE2 processor (under XP) :'( (only for business version through cloud)
Is this correct or is there a way to install this new version (or a previous one allowing database update ?

Updated through the GUI from 2262 and no problems.

Not a big fan of Automatic silent updates, but I have it locked to manual like always.

Nice job

Its been removed for a redesign and is meant to return in September - personally in its old state there were no detailed stats, so its use was very limited.

Why not set it to 'Ask when an update is available,' that isn't automatic and you get a notification when an update is available.

Disabling CyberCapture will not allow the use of an android emulator ( http://www.amiduos.com) to run. In the past it was an option  to disable in trouble shooting now its missing.  :'(

CyberCapture has only been introduced, so it has never been in the Troubleshooting section as an option, so I don't know how you disabled it. Perhaps you are thinking of the DeepScreen or hardened mode options in earlier versions.

Why won't it let it run, e.g. what alert/message window are you getting ?
This would probably be best in its own 'new topic' as it is likely to get buried in this large topic.

Nice update. Too bad it also reset my settings back to default. My exclusions, my scan schedule, gone. I suppose I should thank you for reminding me  I needed to backup those settings but still, annoying.

I received the silent update today (2016Jul01).  My fault.  I recently switched to this computer and forgot to turn that "feature" off.  The update quite happily changed all my settings which is mostly a minor nuisance except...

...YOU WIPED MY BLOCKED SITES!

Site blocking is the only reason I've stayed w/ AVast during the past couple of years.  Is there anyway to get back my list?
