I'm running Windows 10 32 bit on this 2 in 1 device and I'm getting the access denied message too. I have no other security software of any kind installed.

It is as you wished: running W10 isn't the last option.

If this is directed at me, I upgraded 2 computers to Win 10.

If directed to someone else.........whoops!

Maybe I did but I changed my mind.

Getting off topic so no more replies from me about Win 10.  :-X

I've tried to update my custom settings and found out it's broken. It's impossible to export (backup) settings anywhere. I've tried desktop, my documents and even secondary non-system partition, always DENIED error message. Can someone else try exporting settings if you guys get the same error...
I'm having the same issue!

Just uninstalled and reinstalled the pre-Nitro version, which is better anyway as this new version is completely laggy on Windows startup and cloggs everything. Haven't been this unsatisfied with a new Avast update in years. >:(

Edit: I'm on Windows 7, by the way, and don't intend to upgrade anytime soon.

Wouldn't hurt if someone from avast! team would drop in here to at least give us some idea where to look at and see what actually causes this. Because I have no clue how to even debug this.

I had reported this problem weeks ago. It's still a problem for me with the latest version but,
not on all of my computers.  :o

This is getting ridiculous now, no confirmation or anything at all from the Avast team.

Windows 10 Home 64-bit • Avast Free (latest stable version) •  Malwarebytes 4 Premium (On-Demand) • Windows Firewall Control • Google Chrome • LastPass • CCleaner • O&O ShutUp10 •

They acknowledged the problem in another thread.
The problem is that it only affects certain systems not all. Guess they haven't figured out what
the common denominator is ???

So I'm not alone I guess. I have several Win 7 x64 workstations, some are OK and some are not. In this case don't matter what I do I cannot export my settings, below is the image of the problem

So no one from avast has responded to this, that's not the way to go about it I have been pooling my hair trying to figure out what's going on and did clean install using avast uninstall utility, clean remains of registry that was left from avast nothing is working, just when I thought everything is fine this happens  ;D

I have reported this to avast as well, hopefully they will fix it.
