Yes i did  but heard nothing from them should i maybe try to request the refund again?

Try this slightly different one.
-  Refund request - https://support.avast.com/en-ww/contact/sales_refund If you haven't got the Order ID, etc enter 00000000 and give as much information that you can to help identify it.

Thanks i got an email from them saying that my refund has been accepted and will happen in 5 to 7 days

Hopefully this won't take long, but be aware this estimated time frame is normally related to actual Working/Banking Days, so with this being a big holiday period it my be a little longer.

At least you know it is/has been actioned.
