LOG FILE FOR BOOT SCAN
« on: March 15, 2016, 12:04:50 AM »
Could somebody tell me where to find the log file for Boot Time scan?

I found it once before, but now unable to find anything in AVAST Help that actually helps.

thanks

This is a pretty old location - but I think it is still valid - I haven't done a boot scan for some considerable time so I don't have the aswboot.txt file to confirm.

Look in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Avast Software\Avast\report\aswBoot.txt file (XP location)
C:\ProgramData\Avast Software\Avast\report\aswBoot.txt (Vista, Win7 or later OS location), check this file using notepad for info on the scan/detections, etc.

By default All Users > Application Data is hidden folder so you may have to go into Folder Options > View and check Show Hidden Files and Folders.

Im using Win 7 and this path does not exist :(
C:\ProgramData\Avast Software\Avast\report\aswBoot.txt  Win7

Where to find it, or its it gone out on my floor ;)

----
I found it, was hard
Go to C:\
Copy in the hole string "ProgramData\Avast Software\Avast\report\"
And you are there
It was realy hidden ;)

Just search for the file and make sure you have "show hidden files and folders" enabled.
